Sa Ràpita, Mallorca · Contemporary villa · Off-plan sale · Exterior, interior and section renders
Son Durí is a contemporary villa designed to be sold off-plan, before a single wall was built. The brief came with a clear commercial goal: to create the visual material that would let the developer present the home to potential buyers with the confidence of seeing the final result.
The architecture posed its own challenge. It is a horizontal project of strong lines, where the interior staircase could easily break the sense of openness the design was after. That visual continuity between floors had to be resolved without the volume losing its lightness — and made evident in every render.
The Mediterranean setting was the real protagonist. The large windows open onto a covered outdoor terrace, and that relationship between inside and outside had to be handled with care: clean incoming light, durable materials showing their real texture, the green of the gardens bringing freshness and contrast with the stone and wood. It was not enough to depict the house; it had to convey the feeling of being close to the sea.
The work included interior and exterior renders, plus section views of each floor to explain the layout clearly — especially useful in a horizontal project where the relationship between levels is not always intuitive on plan. As with any off-plan sale, details were adjusted over several rounds until we hit the exact tone the developer was looking for.
