The brief was to visualise a modern, single storey home designed to sit among the pine trees of Formentor, one of the most protected and exclusive corners of Mallorca. The architecture studio behind the project needed a set of images able to show the house before it was built, both to present it to prospective buyers and to leave a visual record of a design conceived very specifically for its setting.
The challenge lay in the site itself. A single storey layout demands a precise reading of how the house sits on the terrain and among the surrounding pines, without giving up privacy or the views. That balance between architecture and landscape had to be respected, and in Formentor that is no small detail: the setting dictates the terms, and the house needed to sit within it rather than compete with it.
The goal was to capture a particular mood: Mediterranean light filtering through the pine canopy, the warmth of timber and stone against the clean lines of contemporary architecture, and the sense of calm expected from a home of this kind. The work went through several rounds of revision, refining framing, materials and vegetation until every render did justice to both the project and the place it belongs to.
The result was a series of photorealistic exterior and interior renders, ready to present the project with the level of detail this kind of development demands.
